John D. Blossom, Jr., Trustee for ESOP, CLU, MSPA, PPC™ – Chief Executive Officer/President

Mr. Blossom has over 30 years experience in the employee benefits field and leads the ABG Investment Advisor Team. He is a full “Member” of the American Society of Pension Actuaries. He is a founder and a past President of Retirement Administrators and Designers of America (RADA) and has been a speaker on numerous national level programs dealing with the development and administration of qualified plans. He currently serves on the steering committee of the Society of Professional Administrators and Record Keepers (SPARK), as a member of the Schwab Retirement Plan Services Advisory Board, and is the President of Alliance Benefit Group (National).

Daphne M. Weitzel, Trustee for ESOP, CPC, QPA, PPC™ – Chief Operations Officer/Sr. Vice President

Ms. Weitzel is a Certified Plan Consultant with over 19 years of experience with administration of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. As COO she manages the day to day operations of the company’s multiple service areas and provides marketing support and consulting services to clients and intermediary relationships. Ms. Weitzel has served as a member of the American Society of Pension Actuaries Examination Committee, the Pension Actuary Committee, and has been a guest speaker of the Illinois ESOP Association.

Linda Byrne Blossom, Trustee for ESOP, AIFA®, PPC™– Senior Consultant and Vice President

Ms. Blossom has over 30 years experience in the design and administration of qualified plans. She is particularly experienced in consulting on the development of 401(k) plans and effective employee communications for 401(k) retirement savings plans. She has developed a multimedia presentation for enrollments and participant education. She leads the firm in specialized services for 401(k) plans with unusually responsive reporting and flexible investment options. Ms. Blossom is a member of the ABG Investment Advisory Team.

Teresa D. Wood, QKA, ARPS – Senior Vice President of Daily Plan Services and Operations

Ms. Wood has over 20 years of experience in pension administration and is a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and an Accredited Retirement Plan Specialist (ARPS). She has had a great deal of experience in Daily Plan Services and Operations and is in charge of strategic planning for the firm. In this role, she is key to the firm assisting ABG in staying in line with industry trends and to develop the processes needed to implement and achieve the desired outcomes. One of her major responsibilities is to oversee the firm’s website. Under her direction the website is an important “first impression” of the firm. Ms. Wood’s experience and client sensitivity also makes her a valuable resource as she also maintains assigned intermediary relationships.

Beverly D. Alleman, ARPS, ARPC, PPC™ – Vice President/Director of Marketing Services

Ms. Alleman has been serving the needs of defined benefit and defined contribution plan clients for over 20 years, including Taft Hartley plans. She is responsible for developing and maintaining intermediary relationships including registered representatives, banks and CPA’s. Ms. Alleman also conducts participant education and enrollment meetings for a variety of clients.

Paul R. Oakford – Director of HSA Services

Mr. Oakford has over 5 years experience in the employee benefits industry. He has worked with employers to evaluate their group health plan need and make recommendations to help the employer meet their employee benefit strategy. Since the passing of the Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003 (Pub. L. 108-173) which created Health Savings Accounts (HSA) he has been involved in the design and creation of our HSA program, MyHSA. He is key in partnering with large distribution firms that market our MyHSA product across the country.

Constance E. King, CPC, QPA – Senior Consultant, Consulting Services Department

Ms. King has been with Alliance Benefit Group since 1994. Prior to that she received her BS in Actuarial Science from the University of Iowa. She is the firm’s technical advisor on the design and administration of Defined Benefit, ESOP, Cash Balance and non-qualified deferred compensation plans. Ms. King is also active in providing in-house training through courses designed by the American Society of Pension Actuaries (ASPPA). She has been active on the Education & Examination Task Force for ASPPA as well as serving on their TPA committee. Ms. King has been published in The Pension Actuary.

Erin Patton, CPC, QPA, QKA – Senior Consultant, Director of Plan Services

Ms. Patton has over 10 years of industry experience, specializing in consulting on plan design and compliance for daily valued and related plans. Ms. Patton oversees the Plan Services Department which includes Client Services, Compliance Services and Document Services for daily valued plans. She is an active member of ASPPA, serving on the ASPPA Journal Committee for several years. She is also active in providing in-house training through courses designed by ASPPA and self-designed course work.

Phyllis A. Koranda, CPA, QPA, QKA – Compliance and Research Consultant

Ms. Koranda is a Compliance and Research Consultant, working primarily with Daily Plans. She has been with Alliance Benefit Group of Illinois for 7 years. She consults on compliance and testing related issues and specializes on the preparation of the Form 5500 and related compliance requirements.
